Meet Dr. Kevin Scull

Hello there, I’m Dr. Kevin Scull, host of the Chess Journeys podcast. Like many of you, I returned to chess during COVID. I was reminded of how fun Chess tournaments can be by Beth Harmon’s first chess tournament. I remember thinking, “Why did I stop playing twenty years ago. Tournaments were fun!” I came back and started this podcast in 2022.

It’s been a journey full of ups and downs. I’ve recently reached new rating highs in classical and blitz chess at the age of 52. I hope my journey can inspire others to achieve their own chess successes. May your journey be as fun as mine has been.
